McDonalds

It all started, after my employer granted me vacation for 10 days. That same day , I was free, after work, I went to McDonald's for some tea and sweets. With my smartphone in my hands, wondering where I want to go on vacation, I was desperate to change the environment. My friend recommended me Spain, specifically Malaga. Ofcourse it seemed also nice to visit Andalusia again. I had already seen Cordoba and Granada, a couple of years ago. Still, I wanted something else. ...

White Bird

Looking on the website of Transavia, searching for cheap flight tickets, comparing countries, and doubting if I could find something because after all, it has high season (december). When all of a sudden, a fully white colored bird came in from outside, walking past me, near my feet. The entrance of the white bird in McDo felt like a calling to go for Geneva..

1 hour flight

I took the airplane from Rotterdam / The Hague. The people in the airport were all Western. Tidy, polite, yet so reserved, but very well dressed. It was Christmas Time. I've learned that most people go to spend their holiday in the mountains of Switserland with their family. A Dutch couple was sitting next to me, we had a bit of a laughter. Within 1 hour and so we arrived at Geneva.

Like a movie

Bathtub, roomservice, mini fridge, gym, welcoming reception, personal service, a friendly host carrying a Charlie Chaplin moustache, gifts. Along with the whole Christmas vibe and the oh so beautiful people who are neatly dressed with the winterboots  (high class people I suppose). At a certain point, I felt like I had landed in one of those Hollywood Christmas movies that from time to time are played on the television, like Pretty Woman, ha ha! (kidding)

The Rhone River

One of the things that really struck me and stood out the most in Geneva is the color of the Rhone River. This green, blue color is so magnificent! I had never seen a river so bright and shiny. I am used to the Dutch rivers that are so boring; brown/greyish or simply black. So for me, it was such a eye-catcher. Crazy as I am, like a Japanese tourist photographing so many pictures. To make sure that I captured the best picture, ha ha!
